Dutch New Guinea. Squadron Leader Rex Marsh of Perth displaying a 25 pounder fish caught in the trap. To supplement the food supply in this area, the RAAF built a trap on a beach. When the tide runs out the trap is emptied, and it is not an uncommon occurrence for them to obtain 300 or 400lbs of edible fish.
