Description

New Guinea. Members of the newly-formed Marine Food Supply Unit with native assistants being towed to the fishing ground off the coast. Fishing is conducted on a large scale, the total length of the line used being 600 fathoms with 100 hooks on each line. Native assistants, who are themselves expert fishermen, do valuable work in supplying fish to the hospital units.
