Description
Lieutenant Colonel Jock Campbell of the 4th Royal Horse Artillery (RHA) (in the truck), talking with officers of the 6th Australian Divisional Cavalry Regiment at Giarabub. Campbell, later to be awarded the Victoria Cross (VC) for service at Sidi Rezegh on 21 November 1941, initiated the mobile "Jock" columns comprising armoured cars, artillery, and truck-borne infantry to harrass the Italian forces. He was killed in action at Libya on 26 November 1942.
