Description

An unidentified sergeant (right), and another serviceman (obscured), mark rolls as men from the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), board the United States troopship Aiken Victory. A serviceman with an unlit cigarette in his mouth, stands at the head of the queue at the gangplank. The troops are soon to be transported to Pusan, then the first Australian Army operations in the Korean War.
