North Korea. c. October 1950. A British corporal, holding a Sten gun, and an unidentified Australian soldier speak with a kneeling North Korean prisoner of war (POW), with his hands on his head. They are communicating through a Republic of Korea soldier (ROK) interpreter. This picture was taken during the advance of the United Nations Forces northward from Pyongyang. The Australian soldier is a member of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR).
