Troops of a British unit and of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), ride on an already heavily laden American jeep to take up new positions south west of Pakchon. Left to right: an unidentified British signaller (wearing glasses); 346514 Private (Pte) William Henry 'Alby' Alberts; 31932 Pte Ian Robertson; unidentified British signaller (seated on top of truck). Privates Robertson and Alberts belong to the Sniper Section. Pte Robertson is also the unit photographer. The two Australians are carrying their rifles and backpacks. Each has a cardboard ration box tied on to the outside of his pack. The convoy of trucks, jeeps and trailers of the United Nations (UN) force, is winding its way along a narrow road, past haystacks and barns, during the movement of the troops through North Korea. Hay has been placed on top of the jeep's load.
