Description

Middle East. 23 March 1943. Squadrons of the Turkish Air Force are being equipped with British aircraft of various types. Bombers and fighters are being sent to airfields in Turkey in increasing numbers. The aircraft are assembled on landing grounds in the Middle East and flown to their destinations by pilots of the Turkish Air Force. The pilots are given refresher courses at RAF training centres before they take over the aircraft. Pilots of the Turkish Air Force who flew Hurricane fighters from desert airfields in the Middle East to bases in Turkey.
