Pair of identity discs : Private A H Welham, 3 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment
One circular and one octagonal white metal identity disc on a leather thong necklace. Both discs are standard size and are stamped with the wearer's details.
Associated with the service of 3400095 Private Alan Henry Welham who served with 3 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment in Korea. Private Welham was born on 23 December 1925 at Hastings New Zealand. He served in the Second World War. He initially served with the Citizen Military Forces from 10 July 1941, until 19 October 1942 when he enlisted into the Australian Imperial Force. He reached the rank of corporal before his discharge on 1 October 1946. He re-enlisted into the Army on 11 August 1950. He served in Korea from 28 September 1950 to 16 October 1951. Private Welham was discharged on 26 February 1952.
