Description
An unidentified lieutenant from the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC) checks on patient, probably a casualty from the Korean War, who has been loaded onto a QANTAS Empire Airways aircraft VH-EBN. The patient is probably being evacuated back to Australia. Two of the aircrew of the QANTAS aircraft are standing near the doorway. Cloth bags have been tied to the bar above the soldier's bed. The bags may contain the soldier's personal possessions or medical supplies. Note the lieutenant is wearing glasses and a greatcoat with a British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) patch.
