Egypt. November 1941. A cross and palm leaves mark the grave in the Fayid War Cemetery, Plot 1, Row E, Grave 5, of 404110 Sergeant (Sgt) Hugh McMaster RAAF, of No. 148 Squadron RAF, who died 6 November 1941. Sgt McMaster's promotion to Pilot Officer had probably not reached his unit before his time of death. He was the son of Hugh and Lily Alexandra McMaster of Hamilton, Qld; husband of Audrey Eileen Patricia McMaster of Hamilton, Qld.
