The sign of the 'Big Red Rat', a kangaroo stencil for No. 35 Squadron (Caribou) is held high by a Vietnamese worker before it is used by the Surface Finisher Leading Aircraftman Peter St John. Throughout Vietnam the Red Kangaroo painted on all RAAF aircraft is classified as a rat by the locals.
