A cross marks the mound on the grave in the Heliopolis War Cemetery, Plot 2, Row E, Grave 27, of 400087 Pilot Officer (PO) Roy Anderson Harper RAAF, of No. 267 Squadron RAF, who died 22 October 1942. PO Harper's promotion to Flying Officer had probably not reached his unit before his time of death. He was the son of Andrew and Bella Grace Harper of Mosman, NSW. Heliopolis is a major suburb of Cairo.
