Description

A headstone propeller blade and wreath mark the original grave (Plot 15, Row F, Grave 5) in the Knightsbridge War Cemetery of 845 Pilot Officer (PO, later Flying Officer) Malcolm Hector Watson RAAF, killed in action 22 November, 1941. PO Watson's promotion to Flying Officer had probably not reached his unit (No 3 Squadron, RAAF) before his time of death. He was the son of Alexander Malcolm and Annie Watson of Mt. Gambier, SA. Knightsbridge War Cemetery, named after the famous military 'box' of the North African campaign, lies about 25 kilometres west of Tobruk, Libya.
