Description
A cross and wreath mark the grave in the Knightsbridge War Cemetery, Plot 15, Row D, Grave 21, of 471 Flying Officer (FO) John Henry William Saunders, RAAF, of No. 3 Squadron RAAF, who died 22 November 1941. FO's Saunders promotion had probably not reached his unit before his time of death. He was the son of John Edward Stanley Saunders and Florence Catherine Saunders of Cottesloe, WA. Knightsbridge War Cemetery, named after this famous 'box', lies actually a few miles from Acroma.
