Description
South Vietnam. February 1967. Fighting in Vietnam turned out to be a sticky task during Operation Portsea for soldiers of A Company, 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6RAR), when they were flushing the enemy from along the banks of a saltwater creek. Waist deep in the mud is Sergeant Stewart Smerdon of Grovely, Qld. The Company had to flounder through several miles of country like this.
