Nui Dat, South Vietnam. November 1971. The close comradeship that existed between Australian and New Zealand troops on active service in the Vietnam war over the years was still evident during final ceremonies at Nui Dat. Vung Tau became the main base for the marshalling of units for embarkation and the closing down of unit stores ready for shipment to Australia.
