Description

Brown leather case for Kodak No. 2A folding cartridge hawk-eye camera. The case has an adjustable carry strap and the opening flap is secured by a brass clasp on which is inscribed the maker's trademark 'EKC' and 'MADE IN AMERICA'. Impressed on the leather below the flap is 'KODAK CASE MADE IN AUSTRALIA'. Underneath the flap the owners details have been written several times.

History / Summary

Associated with the service of NX70208 Staff Nurse Alyson Manning Mills (later Wheeler), born in Sydney on 8 January 1914. Mills enlisted in the Australian Army Nursing Service on 9 August 1940 and served on 2/1 Australian Hospital Ship Manunda which saw service in the Mediterranean and North Africa.
