Ebisu Camp, Japan. 3 May 1952. During his inspection of Ebisu Camp, Tokyo, Lieutenant General Sydney F. Rowell (left), the Chief of the General Staff, Australian Military Forces, shares a joke with Japanese waitresses at the Ebisu Leave Hotel. The hotel is provided for British Commonwealth troops on leave from Korea. First class hotel accommodation and an excellent cuisine gives a touch of home life for men on five days of Rest and Recuperation Leave.
