2/400590 Private Walter Robert Dalliston, of Orange, NSW, scraping mud from his boot with the top of a ration tin. At the same time he is soaking his foot in a can of water. Private Dalliston was a member of C Company, the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) and was killed in action (KIA) on 28 August 1952.
