Korea. 2 January 1953. Private Len Payne of A Company, the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), watching for enemy gun flashes or bursts from a vantage point in his Company position. If he spots any movement, their positions will be fixed by compass bearing and reported to his Company Command Post. Note his field radio, compass note book and binoculars, all within easy reach.
