Description
Photocopy of original transcript of private diary written by Captain Stanley Thomas Parkes while serving with the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance and other medical-type units operating throughout the Middle East, and on recreation leave, during 1914-1918; copy of photograph of Captain Parkes and a friend while on leave in Cairo; copy of transcripts of memoirs, "Evacuation from Gallipoli - December 1915" and "Reminiscences of the 1914-1918 War", originally written for submission in the annual Department of Veterans' Affairs Short Story Competition (no date indicated).
