Description

Typical of the hard work being done by the Australian soldiers in Korea is this scene inside a bunker under construction, in the new defence line. Holding the stake in the rock face is Corporal Fred Dowsett, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), of Coburg, Vic. Wielding the hammer is Private Lee Ki Baik, one of the Korean Augmentation Troops, Commonwealth (KATCOMs) that had been attached to the Australian battalions since well before the ceasefire.
