Australian soldiers wearing civilian clothing walking towards a QANTAS Boeing 707 aircraft that was to fly them to South Vietnam. The soldiers wore civilian clothing as the Republic of Singapore, an essential refuelling stop, officially withheld permission for troops in transit to land.
