The Chief of the Australian Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral (Vice Adm) Sir Victor Smith (left), is on a six day visit to the war zone, meeting Australian personnel and visiting Allied bases. Here Vice Adm Smith shakes hands with an unidentified US Army officer. Second from right is Lieutenant Commander Graham Roland Rohrsheim, of RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam (RANHFV), which is attached to the 135th Assault Helicopter Company at Bearcat. The other officers are unidentified. Vice Adm Smith's itinerary also includes visits to the 1st Australian Task Force at Nui Dat, Vung tau, and two days with HMAS Brisbane and the US 7th Fleet in the South China Sea.
