Description
Grave of 2501 Private (Pte) Henry George Samuel Bultz, 16th Battalion. A native of Devon, England, he enlisted as a labourer in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, on 24 May 1915 under the alias of Harry Lowther after eight unsuccessful attempts using his own name according to a letter from his mother on his service record. He embarked from Fremantle aboard HMAT Chilka on 18 June 1915 for Egypt and was taken on strength of his unit in Gallipoli on 2 August 1915. Pte Bultz was wounded in action on 10 August 1915 and was evacuated to Malta where he died of these wounds received in action on 21 August 1915. He was aged 27 years. Pte Bultz is buried with two British Servicemen.
