Yokohama, Japan. 25 April 1954. In a quiet corner of the British Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Yokohama, 300 officers and ratings of HMAS Sydney and troops from New Zealand and Australia gather in silent tribute to fallen comrades around the cenotaph on Anzac Day 1954. In the foreground are some of the graves of the Australian and New Zealand section of the cemetery. Among those present were His Excellency The Australian Ambassador, Dr E. Ronald Walker; the NZ Charge d'Affaires, Mr R. L. G. Challis; Captain G. L. Oldham DSC, RAN, Captain of HMAS Sydney, and Lieutenant Colonel L. D. King OBE ED, Commander of Ebisu Camp in Tokyo.
