Private (Pte) Les Nelson, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), of Warwick, Qld, during a brigade exercise over the rugged Korean terrain in which actual warfare conditions were simulated. Pte Nelson joined the Army three years ago and came to Korea last year with 2RAR. Instead of returning to Australian next month with 2RAR he has transferred to 3RAR and is staying on.
