Cape Helles, Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 1915. Looking down onto the deck of the ship River Clyde which is near the demolished Turkish fort of Sedd el Bahr (not in view). River Clyde took part in the landings on 25 April 1915, in which its captain was awarded a Victoria Cross. Note the troops and horses in the background.
