Description
The graves of 2221 Private (Pte) John (Jack) Riley, 3rd Battalion and two unidentified British servicemen. Pte Riley, a cleaner from North Sydney, NSW prior to enlistment embarked with the 6th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Karoola on 16 June 1915. After being wounded in action at Gallipoli, he was transferred to Valetta Hospital, Malta where, on 2 September 1915, aged 18, he succumbed to his wounds and was buried in the Addolorata Cemetery, Malta.
