The graves of 760 Private (Pte) Robert Young Wright, 19th Battalion, 1811 Pte Oscar Emil Rasmussen and an unidentified British serviceman. Pte Wright, a native of Invercargill, NZ was a stereotyper from Sydney prior to enlistment and embarked from Melbourne with B Company on HMAT Ceramic on 25 June 1916. After being wounded in action at Gallipoli, he was transferred to Malta where, on 8 October 1915, aged 22, he died as a result of his wounds. Pte Rasmussen, a native of Aalborg, Denmark, was a labourer from Melbourne prior to enlistment and embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Demosthenes on 16 July 1915. He was wounded in action at Gallipoli and transferred to Malta where, on 6 October 1915, aged 28, he died from gangrene. All three men are buried in the Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.
