Series of articles written by NFX168618 Lance Sergeant Joy McDonnell of 114 Australian General Hospital, as assignments for a correspondence course in journalism, conducted by Melbourne Technical Correspondence School during 1943. The articles relate to McDonnell's personal exeperiences of serving with the Army's Medical Women's Services, and show the examiner's corrections. Another item of note in the collection is a letter from John Treloar, describing intended publication of one of the articles by McDonnell, titled "Life Was Interesting At An Australian General Hospital" for use in a book published by the Australian War Memorial in 1948.
