Tokyo, Japan. August 1954. A bus was presented by Bristol City, through Women's Voluntary Services (WVS), for the troops to use while on leave in Tokyo. Seen here, after the ceremony in front of the Kookaburra Club, is a group of spectators standing in front of three buses one of which is draped with British and Australian flags. Holding a white handbag in the front is Miss Gibson, Administration head of WVS in Japan/Korea.
