Description

Vietnam. An United States Army Iroquois helicopter, also known as a Huey, preparing to take off. There are several other iroquois helicopters in the background. The helicopters probably belongs to the combined 135th Aviation Company and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) unit. The combined unit was the result of a decision to allow RAN personnel to operate with US Army units. Due to its integrated nature the unit was designated an `experimental military unit' hence the nickname `Emu's'.
