Description

Number 6 and 7 charge scale corrector used by L 5 Pack Howitzers for 105 mm cartridge cases for firing M1 high explosive and smoke projectiles when using the M520 fuze. The corrector is made from aluminium and operates on the principle of a circular slide rule. Graduations are in meters for range calculations and meters per second for velocity corrections. Markings - CH 7 AND CH 6 CHARGE SEVEN, CHARGE SIX; INDICATOR FUZE FOR GUN EQUIPMENT 105 MM L5 SHELL, HE, FUZE M520, SHELL SMOKE, WPM 60 PLATE, RANGE SCALE FL15504 1964. There are yellow and purple colour coded indicator rings for charge identifications.
