Description
A Maurice Farman biplane, the first British aircraft to be brought down by the enemy on the Egyptian front. The photograph was taken at the headquarters of the enemy flying corps. The officers second and fourth on the left are the German pilot and observer of the famous Blacktail Taube, well known on the Palestine front; and standing left and right of the remains of the British aeroplane are the pilot and observer.
