Description

Recto: A valley meanders from the top left to the bottom right of this Jordan Valley landscape. There are trees in the valley and terracing can be viewed to the right of the valley. In the lower centre there are two figures wearing uniform, depicting the working party in the quarry and the road up to Nalin. Verso: A portrait of a soldier in left profile, described by Lambert as a good looking lad met on the way down in the train.
