[Two studies of horses, with saddles and bridles]
Description
Two pencil studies of mules with various harness and equipment attached to them. In the study at the top of the page, the mule wears blind fold. There were four mules which served the Historical mission and one particularly stubborn one served to model for Lambert and carry his painting equipment in a large case which was nicknamed 'Lambert's coffin'.
