At a farewell and investiture ceremony in Japan, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) W Bridgeford, Commander in Chief British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK) (left), walks along a driveway with Lt Gen H Wells, and US General Mark Clark, Commander in Chief United Nations (UN) Forces. When Lt Gen Bridgeford returns to Australia, Lt Gen H Wells will replace him as Commander in Chief of BCFK. At this ceremony Lt Gen Bridgeford is receiving the US Legion of Merit award.
