Chicom Type 54 Pistol Holster : North Vietnamese Forces
Description
Brown plastic pistol holster for a Chicom Type 54 pistol. It has a front pouch with a press stud containing a spare magazine and two loops on the side for a cleaning rod. The top flap is secured by a stud and strap.
History / Summary
This holster was taken from a dead North Vietnamese officer by Lieutenant Colonel Harry Smith MC, after the Battle of Long Tan while serving as the Company Commander of Delta Company, 6 Royal Australian Regiment.
