Portrait of Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Malcolm Cullen, Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), a pilot who flew Typhoons with No. 257 (Burma) Fighter Squadron. Flt Lt Cullen was shot down on 24 May 1944 while on a raid to bomb petroleum dumps near Amiens. He was one of a number of Allied airmen held in Buchenwald Concentration Camp, Germany, between August and October 1944, before being transferred to Stalag Luft III in Sagan, Poland. (Donor M. Cullen)
