Collection relating to the service of William H Robinson
Description
Kiriwina, Trobriand Islands, Papua. September 1943. Flight Lieutenant J. G. (Joe) Langton, Baptist Chaplain to No. 73 (Fighter) Wing RAAF, in his tent. Padre Langton, the first RAAF Chaplain on Kiriwina moved there with No. 79 (Spitfire) Squadron RAAF. He was a veteran of the Great War of 1914-18 who had almost completed pilot training with the Royal Flying Corps when hostilities ceased.
