Collection relating to the service of William H Robinson
Description
Kiriwina Island, Trobriand Islands, Papua. August 1943. RAAF personnel putting up the canvas top of their No. 9 Operations Group jeep by the side of a very muddy road as rain threatens them on Kiriwina. Note the officer on the right could be 404691 Squadron Leader I. S. (Ian) Loudon DFC, Commanding Officer of No. 76 (Kittyhawk) Squadron RAAF, and at that time not quite twenty-two years of age.
