Description
c. 1919. Studio portrait of 547 Sergeant Major Harry J. McInnes 12th Australian Light Horse Brigade of Sutton, NSW. He saw action in Gallipoli and Egypt. On his return to Australia in July 1919, he was demobilised from the army and commenced work as a shearer. McInnes was accidentally killed in Sydney on 8 December 1919. As the son of Councillor G. A. McInnes, he was accorded a military funeral and buried at Queanbeyan. (Donor: A. McInnes)
