Description
Children come out to greet three unidentified Australians from A Company (A Coy), 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) who are finishing their jungle patrol at a local kampong (village) which is located close to the A Coy base. These men and the rest of 3RAR will soon be returning to Australia as the Battalion completes a two year operational tour of Malaya. The men are armed with Owen machine carbines and a 7.62mm Fabrique Nationale (FN) self loading rifle (SLR).
