Description
AWM38 3DRL 6673/1016 - Album of 194 pages (including inside covers) containing 199 photographs covering research conducted by Charles Bean. The album is mostly uncaptioned, but occasionally has typed and hand written notes included. Some of the images have been cut and pasted together to make panoramic spreads. Some images also have hand written notes accompanying them, generally with location and occasionally with photographic image details (such as photographer and film details). The photographs were all taken on the Gallipoli Peninsula under the direction of Captain C E W Bean of the Australian Historical Mission, during the months of February and March, 1919.
