Side A: voice message to Lieutenant (Lt) Colin Simper, Mrs Simper states how much he is missed; that his daughter Eleanor, was too young for the recording and is with her Grandmother for the day; she says that she cannot wait for his return so that the three of them can settle down together; Mrs Simper says that this is her gift to Colin for Christmas 1943. Side B: Mrs Simper sings a song to Colin. SX21753 Lt Colin D. Simper 2/48 Battalion AIF, died of wounds at Tarakan Borneo on the 9 June 1945.
