Description
A captured Viet Cong (VC) guerilla who threw a grenade at Provincial Reconnaissance Unit (PRU) scouts, as they conducted a cordon and search of a hamlet near the Phu Cat area. After throwing the grenade, this man and another VC ran into the jungle surrounding the hamlet. They were persued and subsequently captured. The PRU, led by Warrant Officer Class 1 E. B. (Ossie) Ostara, Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV), conducted the operation after receiving intelligence that VC guerillas were operating from the hamlet and were demanding food from the villagers.
