Description
A captured Viet Cong (VC) guerilla leading Provincial Reconnaissance Unit (PRU) scouts to the hide where he and two other VC lived, about 1500 metres into the jungle, near a hamlet in the Phu Cat area. The PRU, led by Warrant Officer Class 1 E. B. (Ossie) Ostara, Australian Army Training Team (AATTV), conducted this cordon and search operation after receiving intelligence that Viet Cong guerillas were operating from the hamlet and demanding food from the villagers.
