Three unidentified Australian soldiers at a training camp in England, practising bayonet attacks on hessian bags stuffed with straw suspended from wooden beams. The soldier is wearing a PH helmet (Phenate Hexamine) which were used by British and Australian soldiers during the First world War to reduce the effects of gas attack.
