A Bell Iroquois UH-1H helicopter, possibly a US gunship, parked on steel reinforcing plates laid on an uneven surface. This image was taken by a member of 9 Squadron RAAF. An unidentified airman, probably a US maintenance crew member, takes a rest in the available shade under the nose of the aircraft. Accommodation blocks and other airmen, possibly waiting flight crews, appear in the distance.
